What Exercises are Good for Mental Fitness?

The two exercises are Loving-Kindness and Subtle mind. Visualization and meditation are used regularly but Loving-Kindness and Subtle mind are needed. Mental fitness means controlling thoughts. They give me practice to do this. Loving-Kindness  helps with my  tendency to take into my spirit the suffering of everyone. I have long to have qualities of a very wise woman. The Subtle mind exercise is giving me the tools to obtain those qualities.
Presently, I practice the subtle mind before I get out of bed. Loving-Kindness practice is done at least once a week. I put the practices on my iPod a few days ago. One day when I went for my walk. I played subtle mind. The visualization of walking on a calm river was awesome.  Waiting in line at the DMV, etc. that would be great time to practice.

  1. Bernadette,

That is awesome that you can practice the subtle mind before you wake up! All I can think about is coffee :)
It usually takes me just a few minutes of moving around to get going. I agree that each of these principles feed off each other. Knowing the areas that you could improve in is a huge step because your mind is more aware of it. As the last few weeks wind down, I wish you well.

  2. He Bernadette,
I am gratiful for you that you have managed to save those practises you wish to practise more often on your iPod. I do agree with you that there are some places you go and they take for ever to reach you turn. You now have something to do that will make you not notice the time. I hope if you listen while driving you will not be carried away and forget that you are on the wheel. LOL Good job.

  3. Hi Bernadette, Thank you for a wonderful, inspiring, motivational experience. The awareness of developing our consciousness to include loving-kindness for all people is a major breakthrough for our planet; allowing all suffering to melt and dissolve into our hearts and generate love; for ourselves and and all of life. I pray that we will continue on the path of loving-kindness, being the conduit for human flourishing.

    One Love
    Joan
